lol, weird marriage. have you seen those online marriage certificate things on myspace? ha ha, they're quite something.

yes, it is true that artists which are "popular" tend not to be as appreciative with favourites as they are so common in their minds perhaps. i remember long ago writing long long long comments on their work, hoping for their advice on whatever as they seem so good at what they do, and getting a reply saying "thnx alot, mwah" and feeling oh-so disappointed. then again, it could just be me.

Indeed on DA, any self-respecting person trys to escape the mainstream... the connotations of popularity are enough to ruin a piece (especially if the inspiration behind it is "I want pageviews"). Also it makes you feel special to know that your love for a piece makes a larger slice of impact on the artist.
